Justin (Lou Taylor Pucci) is a boy of teenager, with an oral fixed idea with his thumb. Her mother (Tilda Swinton) seems to be a normal governess, but she has her own obsessions also, as a crush on a star of the TV (Benjamin Bratt). The only person who is aware of the problem of Justin is her father (Vincent D' Onofrio), the manager in a shop, but none of its advice seems to work for Justin. The rascal is committed to a workshop of debate, but the thing does not go well, because he has his mind in a pretty schoolmate and, of course, in his thumb, by affecting all rest of his classes. Therefore Justin is a solitarier rascal in the school, which prefers closing up in the bathroom and sucking its thumb. The dentist of Justin (the Reveilles de Keanu), a person of the mystical hippy, will try to help to overcome his problem of thumb, by hypnosis. But the psychologist of the school will diagnose Justin with the Riot of Deficit of Attention and prescribe him some medicaments. Suddenly, the problem of Justin with its thumb will disappear, by becoming a hyperactive genius, by earning several competitions of debate and the admiration of his teacher (Vince Vaughn). Nevertheless, more serious problems will come for Justin with his mother, his father and with a drug dependency.
Justin (Lou Taylor Pucci) est un garçon d'adolescent, qui a une obsession orale avec son pouce. Sa mère (Tilda Swinton) semble être une gouvernante normale, mais elle a ses propres obsessions aussi, comme une bousculade sur une étoile de la TV (Benjamin Bratt). La seule personne qui est consciente du problème de Justin est son père (Vincent D'Onofrio), le directeur dans un magasin, mais aucun de ses conseils ne semble travailler pour Justin. Le gosse est engagé à un atelier de discussion, mais la chose ne va pas bien, parce qu'il a son esprit dans un joli camarade de classe et, évidemment, dans son pouce, en affectant tout le reste de ses classes. Donc Justin est un gosse plus solitaire dans l'école, qui préfère se fermer dans la salle de bains et sucer son pouce. Le dentiste de Justin (les Reveilles de Keanu), une personne du hippie mystique, essaiera d'aider à surmonter son problème de pouce, par l'hypnose. Mais le psychologue de l'école diagnostiquera Justin avec le Désordre de Déficit d'Attention et le prescrira quelques médicaments. Subitement, le problème de Justin avec son pouce disparaîtra, en devenant un génie hyperactif, en gagnant plusieurs concours de discussion et l'admiration de son enseignant (Vince Vaughn).
