When the teenager Mary Elizabeth Cep, aka Lola, moves with her mother and two younger twin sisters from New York in the suburb of Dellwood, New Jersey, has the feeling that the cultural and entertainment world ended. While at school, the displaced Lola is a close friend of the unpopular Ella, who is also a big fan of the popular rock band Sidarthur. However, the most popular girl in school, Carla Santini, disputes the leading role in the adaptation of Pygmalion with Lola and the leadership of their assistants. At the last concert of Sidarthur sold-out, Lola plans with Ella to travel to New York and to buy tickets from scalpers.
