Shattered City, an epic two-part mini-series, dramatizes a compelling piece of Canadian history. For a long time before the human beings appear on the planet, the dinosaurs governed the earth. On a small island out of coast, a clan of lemurs finds an egg of dinosaur, by hatching. As there is no parent, lemurs take care of the newborn baby, Aladar. Some years later, a medium meteor goes down near the island and eddy forces his inhabitants to run away in the continent. There, Aladar and the family meet other dinosaurs for the first time as well as real danger. Destruction caused by the meteor forced so here a herd of different herbivores to move to a distant valley which can give food and protection against the carnivorous predators further to afterwards. Since Aladar developed with a different understanding of the ways of the world, the way it helps others is not first accepted in the herd, but soon it is proved that reason can be better that panic.
